According to technology website Gadgets 360, Truecaller has decided to discontinue this feature in light of the Play Store's new policy.

Google has updated its policy for smartphones running the Android operating system 10 and above, further enhancing users' privacy.

Under the policy, Google announced that access to third-party application accessibility APIs (application programming interfaces) would be blocked from May 11. However, existing First Party Dialers and Google's Dialer applications will be allowed to record users' phone calls in certain regions.

A statement from TrueCaller said, "Call recording was free for users of their app, but users needed permission from the Google Accessibility API." According to the statement, the company had added this feature after increasing demand from consumers.

However, according to Google's updated developer program policies, we are now unable to provide call recording facility to our users. Google also says that accessibility API cannot be applied for remote call audio recording.
