According to Adam Musseri, head of social networking applications, the company will clarify the original content rather than posts that have been reshared from elsewhere. This means that the posts in which the reels are shared will be less visible. According to Moussari, the focus of the initiative is on explicit content.
He added that if you are creating something completely new, you should get more credit instead of re-sharing something that you found posted somewhere. We're going to try and value the original content more than the reshared post.
This is one of the most significant changes Instagram has made in recent months to address the threat posed by the company to rival companies, such as Tik Tok Toe. Mouseri, head of Instagram, said the latest changes were aimed at helping people create more content.
"Creators are vital to the future of Instagram and the company wants to make sure they are successful and get the credit they deserve," he said.
